35th GST council meeting updates

In much awaited GST council meeting held on June 21 post Modi 2.0 regime the below decisions were taken:

• Extension of filing of annual return for FY 17-18 (GSTR 9) by another two months to August 30, 2019
• The tenure of NAA(National Anti-Profiteering Authority) has been extended by another two years till November 30, 2021
• Simplified one form GST return will be applicable from January 01, 2020
• Rate cut proposal for electric vehicles from 12% to 5% and electric chargers from 18% to 12% put to committee for further tuning
• Approval for e-invoicing and e-ticketing in multiplexes
